Founder and TCM Master of Advanced Acupuncture Clinic
Dr. Lin Chen, our chief acupuncturist and herbalist, established Advanced Acupuncture Clinic to provide a wide range of holistic natural healing services throughout the greater Chicagoland and northwest suburbs. Her patients range in ages from newborn to 93 years old.
Dr. Chen started her lifelong pursuit in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in her early years through professional training and education with an innate passion. She learned theories from schools and has obtained patient-treating experience from work and from her father, a university TCM professor.
With strong academic background, Dr. Chen entered Chengdu Traditional Chinese Medicine University in 1984, and graduated with high honor in 1989. After graduation, Dr. Lin Chen was on Advanced Study Program at the most popular Beijing Guanganmen Hospital (WHO accredited) of China TCM Research Institute under the famous professor Dr. Gao Lishan and was granted the Certificate of Advanced Training for Acupuncture & Moxibustion and Certificate of Advanced Training for Tuina. Dr. Lin Chen worked as a doctor at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University and other Class 3A hospitals in China (the country's highest-ranking hospitals) for over 10 years. She also taught medical school students as well as international students the advanced courses of Acupuncture. As an expert in Chinese acupuncture and herbs, she has gained more than 30 years of extensive experience in TCM practice in both China and USA.
Since she came to the United States, Dr. Lin Chen has continued her natural healing practice in Chicago areas. She has successfully improved the health quality of many patients by applying a wide variety of natural, safe and non-toxic healing methods to produce more effective healing results. She has been well praised for her professionalism and devotion to serving her patients.
Dr. Lin Chen is a diplomat in Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and a licensed Acupuncturist in the State of Illinois.
