Natural Healing Treatments
We provide holistic therapies and natural healing treatments to our clients. A summary of some of those treatments are briefly provided below.
Chinese Herbal Treatment
This herbal treatment involves the use of natural plants and minerals, each having its own specific characteristics and particular medical use to treat disease, rectify the hyperactivity or hyperactivity of Yin and Yang, and to help restore the body to its normal physiological functions. Dr. Lin Chen also takes care of patients with the Chinese medicated diet, which is a highly finished diet made from Chinese drugs, food, and condiments under traditional Chinese medicine's principles. The diet is very helpful to prevent and cure diseases and improve one's health.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture has been used as healing arts for over two thousand years. The general theory is based on the premise that there are patterns of energy flow called Qi (Chi) throughout the body which are related to the organs and tendino-muscular system. When the energy flow is disrupted due to trauma, poor diet, medications, stress, or other conditions, pain or illness result. Acupuncture focuses on correcting these imbalances of energy flow by inserting ultra-thin needles under the skin to stimulate specific points in the body. The stimulation unblocks the channels and encourages an even flow of Qi, restoring the body's balance and relieving pain and other symptoms.
Moxibustion
The moxibustion has been an integral part of the original concepts of acupuncture. This traditional therapy involves the burning of a herb called moxa (known as mugwort in the West). The treatments are done at specific acupuncture points along the body, depending on what condition is being addressed. The heat of the burning moxa can stimulate Qi (Chi) or life energy, improve blood circulation, speed healing, and enhance immunity. Depending on your preference, there are many different treatment formats for moxibustion. You can choose from stick, loose, smokeless, fresh and liquid forms of moxa. What you choose depends on what calms and soothes you the most.
Cupping
Cupping is a therapeutic approach to treating disease that is caused by local congestion. A partial vacuum is created in cups placed on the skin either by means of heat or suction. This draws up the underlying tissues. When the cup is left in place on the skin for a few minutes, blood stasis is formed and localized healing takes place. The cupping has function of warming and promoting the free flow of Qi (Chi) and blood in the meridians, dispelling cold dampness, diminishing swelling and pain. Cupping is generally indicated in the treatment of Arthritic pain, abdominal pain, stomach ache, indigestion, headache, hypertension, common cold, cough, low back pain, painful menstruation, insect and poisonous snake bite.
Tuina
Tuina (Tui Na) is a Chinese bodywork massage therapy that uses the traditional Chinese medical theory of the flow of Qi (Chi) through the meridians or pathways (channels and collaterals ) as its basic therapeutic orientation. Through the application of massage, acupressure and manipulation techniques on the soft tissue (muscles and tendons) of the body, Tuina seeks to establish a more harmonious flow of Qi energy through the system of channels and collaterals to realign the musculoskeletal and ligamentous relationships (bone-setting), allowing the body naturally heal itself.
